The Beyond&More Experience
Picture this: A workspace that’s not just functional, but one that encourages collaboration and fosters a sense of wellbeing. We’re looking at the future of workspaces as showcased at Orgatec 2024.
Juhi Sakhuja, Co-Founder & Head Curator, Beyond&More: “Orgatec has always been a beacon of innovation, but this year, it stood out for more than just dynamic and aesthetically pleasing designs. The spotlight shifted to creating spaces that are not only functional and visually appealing but also prioritize comfort and mental well-being in the workplace.”

Over 50,000 trade visitors from 126 countries attended Orgatec 2024, including Beyond&More. We were proud to be part of a platform that fosters innovation and collaboration from across the globe.

Trends That Captured Our Imagination
As experienced curators, here are a few narratives that stood out for us:
GIVING FURNITURE A SECOND LEASE ON LIFE
Use, reuse, refurbish, adapt, share—the circular design philosophy was featured extensively across pieces.
This was further elevated with recycled, eco-friendly, and sustainable materials to create furniture that minimises waste.

HYBRID FURNITURE FOR HYBRID LIVES
Whether you’re working from home or the office, furniture will adapt to your space (and not the other way around).
It’s modular, it’s reconfigurable, and it’s fluid—yesterday it was an office seat, today it’s a work-from-home chair.

DESIGNED FOR MINDFULNESS
Companies are waking up to the importance of mental health, and this is reflected in the aesthetic showcased by the designers.
With autumnal colours, organic materials and natural textures, designers created workspaces that reduced sensory overload and made you feel pleasantly grounded.

SMART SPACES FOR SMARTER WORK
Designers displayed intuitive tech integrations, creating workspaces that preemptively take care of your needs.
This was illustrated through smart lockers, acoustic work pods, virtual office systems, soundproof workspaces, and even noise-dampening seating.

“The designers at Orgatec 2024 showcased a profound commitment to sustainability, reflecting how eco-consciousness has become an essential and enduring trend in modern workspace design.”
